This version of Studio D'Artisan's modified Type II jacket has been crafted from a 14oz indigo-dyed Japanese sashiko, an original SDA fabric that is specially woven on vintage power looms with deeply indigo hank-dyed yarns. The looms have their weaving density set to produce a very tight and densely woven fabric, accurately reproducing the feel of authentic sashiko and its thick, textured nature. 

The jacket itself is built with a modified Type II fit, featuring a looser fitting torso and additional handwarmer pockets under the chest pockets.
