The 400-Z is UES' widest fitting jean to date, featuring a loose, full straight leg, and a high rise for a generous fit throughout. Weighing in at 17oz, this heavyweight Japanese selvedge denim fabric showcases plenty of rough slubby texture, a product of the thick, textured American cotton yarns that have been woven at zero tension. The end result is a very unique selvedge denim, with a substantial weight and thickness, pronounced slub and texture, and some very nice vintage details, including a buckle-back waist adjuster, a riveted crotch rather than a bartacked one, and slightly offset back pockets that are a bit more accessible, particularly when riding a bike.
